Talk @ FAS Convention

It’s been far too long since I last posted and this is my effective first post since the move over to starrydude.wordpress.com. Its been a rather hectic time this past half term. I’m an NQT and so really quite busy. Things are going well but in the first half term of my NQT I’ve managed to buy a flat (and move) and give talk to 180 people. Not too shabby. I’m quickly posting about that later. Last Saturday I gave a talk to 180 people at the sold out Federation of Astronomical Societies annual convention. It was a great day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I spoke about how we detect magnetic fields in the Universe and the role they have in various different parts. This went down well and reminded me quite how much I love talking about astronomy. A copy of some of the slides from my talk can be found on the FAS website here.
